DIY headband

A couple of days ago one of my Fave Bracelets broke,  I was pretty sad, but found a way to reuse it..

here it goes my new headband.

1. Headband from the 99cent Store they carry them in many colors so pick as you wish.

2. Have a Needle, Thread, Scissors, and a piece that you would like to sew on to, it can be buttons, plastic flowes, etc.

3. Threat your needle with a fun color to give it a more stylish look.

4. Sew on the piece to the headband, you can do a little pinch to the headband to give it a more stylish look.

5. Make sure its sewed on very well or you can paste it with hot glue

6. be ready to wear it with a nice outfit, the beach its a great place or the pool. This is a everyday accessory that gives it an extra something.

Inspiration

There are days where I have many Ideas, yet my inspiration to deliver them is not the best.

These past days my inspiration was not the best, I didn’t know how to deliver my messages or if I did write something I was worried it would not be of worth for others to read.

The picture that comes with this post was taken a couple of weeks ago, while walking down on 7th and Broadway in downtown LA. As I was passing by him I thought ” what a stylish bum” my boyfriend instead acted and took the camera and took the picture. Even thought he seem interesting I am not one to break boundaries with people I can be considerer a bit shy. I guess that this is something I have to work on if  I want to succeed in this world of fashion and in general.

This world is to be enjoyed and this man is an example that no matter the situation you do not have to look bad, just if your life is not in the best conditions. He manage to look pretty stylish and you may see that he was not a bad looking man in his days. He is the eye catcher in the downtown community he seem to be a cool cat.

Ever since we got his picture I been meaning to sit down and write about him, how he has me thinking and inspired yet I didn’t have that push to sit down and just let it out. I guess I needed something else to let my inspiration go wild, but I think I found it and I will not let go of it anymore.

There is so much to read and research to make this a better blog, one that Inspires you and connects with you in different ways.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend…

Happy Memorial day

Being a woman..

Being a woman is one of the best things, I have never wanted to be like a man.

I am a woman that doesn’t see nothing, but beautiful things about being a woman, we get to wear pink and blue, and orange, yellow, green, black, white and all the colors of the rainbow without the sexism included.

We are able to give life, and actually feel it in grow in us, we are able to endure labor pain, we are free spirits, we are sisters, mothers, daughters, cousins, granddaughters, best-friends, we are here to hear your problems we are here to love you, nature you, to care for you in sickness and in your worst moments, as well as for your greatest moments.

Let’s not just celebrate our mothers, let’s celebrate all women, at one point or another they have done the same job as a mother with others.

being free, and living happy, living in the present, hoping for the future.

Never stop shining…

Trends of Coachella 2012

Trends of Coachella 2012

The annual music festival in Indio Ca, “Coachella Fest” is the “It” event for many around the world. People come from Europe, Central America, Mexico, Canada, you name it. Coachella brings the people together with music, music that makes us happy. This was my first Coachella since they started back in 1999. They have brought many artist from Prince, Madonna, M.I.A., Manu Chau, Roger Waters, Rage Against the Machine, Paul McCartey, Bjork, Florence and the Machine,  to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog. Hundreds of artist have been in their stages and my favorite of all this past weekend was Florence and the Machine she totally rocks my world. Her music her voice her uniqueness rocks every bit. While others were raving about radio head and at the drive in I keep my stand with Florence. I was able to capture some artist up close, and hear their music for the first time making me a student of music, expanding my brain with new beats and melodies never heard before. Coachella left a great Impression on me although the weather was not exactly what I thought it would be, it went beyond it went all over my body making every cell in me have a reaction to the heat and the beat of the music. I must say Coachella made me realize I have to move my body more often. Here is what I captured and the trends that kept appearing, many neon’s fanny packs, boots, headbands, see-thru fabrics and of course tiny shorts and tiny tops. People were just simply amazing.
